For Local businesses with repeat customers and an existing website
Home-screen access for local service websites
Offer returning customers a way to save your website for opening hours, service information and booking links. Keep the booking software you already use.

Why it matters for local services
A repeat customer may benefit from a saved link; a one-off visitor may not. Focus on whether the website is useful to return to, rather than claim that an icon replaces reminder messages or guarantees more bookings.
How teams use it
Offer a modest popup after the customer has had a chance to read your services. Preserve visible booking and contact links and make dismissal straightforward.
Launch from the saved website and follow the booking link. If another company hosts that page, check its permissions separately; your snippet cannot alter their booking flow.
Keep current hours, contact details and preparation instructions on your website. The popup itself does not manage appointments or customer records.
Match the published business website
Use your own business name, icon and wording in the popup. Save the exact HTTPS address customers visit, then use the platform setup guide. Do not verify an editor preview or a different booking-provider domain.
No booking-system migration required
The popup sits on the website where you have permission to add code. It does not sync availability, create loyalty stamps or send appointment reminders. Those remain functions of your existing booking or customer-management software.
Check the next visit, not just the first popup
On iPhone and Android, save the website and open the resulting icon. Confirm the booking link, phone number and contact forms still work. A successful install-code check confirms execution on the saved domain, not a completed booking or a retention improvement.

Common questions
Does this replace SMS appointment reminders?
No. A home-screen icon is not a notification subscription. Keep existing reminders unless you separately implement and test an alternative.
Can I use a Carrd or Wix business website?
Use the matching setup guide and confirm custom-code access. Carrd requires Pro Standard or higher; Wix requires a published connected domain and Custom Code access.
Will the website become an offline booking app?
No. Live availability and checkout generally need a connection. Offline caching requires separate implementation and does not make bookings work without a server.
