Frequently asked questions
14 of 14The popup isn't showing on my site — why?
Make sure the snippet is on every page, the widget is toggled Live, and you haven't already dismissed it (dismissals honour the cool-off you set).
How do I test without waiting for the trigger?
Add ?instantpwa=preview to any page URL with the snippet installed and the popup shows immediately, ignoring frequency caps.
Can I run A/B tests?
Yes — duplicate a widget, tweak the variant, and both are served evenly. We surface the winner on the analytics page.
How fresh is the analytics data?
Impressions and installs appear within ~60 seconds. Aggregated conversion rates recompute every 5 minutes.
Is there an API or webhook?
Yes. Reach out on the Business plan and we'll enable server-side install events + webhooks for your workspace.
How long does setup take?
Under two minutes: pick a template, paste one line of HTML before </body>, and toggle the widget Live.
Do I need a service worker or manifest?
No — the embed handles both for you at runtime. If you already ship your own manifest we respect it.
Can I match my site fonts and colours automatically?
Yes. Click "Match my site" in the editor and we scrape your homepage for the primary colour, font family and logo.
Can I use my own icon?
Upload a 512×512 PNG in the widget editor. We generate the smaller sizes automatically.
Do push notifications work on iOS?
Yes — iOS 16.4+ supports web push, but only for sites the user has installed to their home screen. That is exactly what InstantPWA prompts them to do.
How do I send a push campaign?
Open the Push tab, write your title/body, pick a segment, and hit Send. Campaigns fire within 60 seconds via our worker cron.
What counts as an impression?
A single render of your widget to a unique visitor per 24 hours. Repeat views by the same visitor do not re-count.
What happens if I exceed my monthly cap?
The widget keeps serving for the rest of the day and we email you. Upgrade any time — usage does not reset until the next billing cycle.
Can I cancel any time?
Yes. Cancel from Settings → Billing and you keep access until the end of the current period.
