Why it matters for events & ticketing
Attendees may reopen an agenda or venue page repeatedly during an event. A saved website can reduce the need to find the invitation again. Test this convenience against the actual website and venue connection before recommending it.
How teams use it
Offer the popup on a mobile-friendly event hub with visible schedule and location links. Updates still come from your existing website.
Check external ticket links separately. Saving your event website does not save a ticket from another domain or put a pass into Apple Wallet.
Keep slides and recordings reachable at the same address after the event. Remove or update outdated popup wording when the event ends.
Choose a stable event address
Use the published event hub rather than a temporary editor preview or an expiring ticket link. Keep the domain valid throughout the event. If a ticket vendor controls another domain, code permissions on your hub do not extend to that vendor.
A low-signal venue changes the test
Saving the website does not guarantee it will open without a connection. Test the schedule and maps in airplane mode only if your site has a deliberate offline implementation. Retain accessible alternatives for essential arrival details and tickets.
Keep urgent communications separate
Do not promise room-change alerts or emergency notifications from an install popup. Web push needs separate browser support, subscription and permission; maintain the event’s existing communication channels.

Common questions
Does this create a native event app?
No. It provides browser home-screen guidance for your website, not an App Store or Google Play listing.
Are tickets available offline after installation?
Not automatically. Follow your ticket provider’s instructions for downloadable tickets or wallet passes. The popup does not implement either feature.
Can I use a Wix or Webflow event website?
If you have the required custom-code access, use the relevant setup guide, publish and verify the same event address saved in InstantPWA.
