Why it matters for education
A course with repeated study sessions has a practical reason to offer a saved entry point. The useful test is whether a learner can reopen the right course page and sign in, not whether a popup alone increases completion rates.
How teams use it
Point learners toward the existing course website. Check that the home-screen launch does not send them to a marketing page when they need the course dashboard.
Keep worksheets and references in the current learning system. The popup does not download documents or change access permissions.
Offer convenient access to a published course hub with session links and dates. Keep any reminders in the notification tools you already operate.
Hosted LMS or your own website?
Identify the actual learner-facing domain first. A script on your public marketing site does not run inside a third-party learning system. Confirm that the LMS permits custom scripts before choosing an install workflow; otherwise offer instructions on the website you control.
Test as a learner
Use a normal learner account, not an administrator session. Open the published site, save it using the browser’s available action, close it and launch from the icon. Check course access and expired-session behavior. On school-managed devices, administrator policy may restrict installation.
Offline lessons are a separate project
Offline access requires a same-origin service worker and an intentional caching strategy. Protect private lessons and account data; do not assume saving a website downloads videos or makes gated material safe to cache.

Does InstantPWA replace an LMS?
No. Lessons, progress, payments and learner accounts remain in your current system.
Will this work on every school device?
No guarantee. Browser support and school device policies differ. Test with the devices and restrictions your learners actually use.
Will students be able to study offline?
Not from the popup alone. Offline lessons need separate caching, storage and access-control decisions.
